MBITA (http://www.mbita.org/) is a non-profit international trade center dedicated to provide trade promotion services to the California, U.S. and foreign country business communities. MBITA utilizes advanced Global eCommerce technologies for its clients and members to maximize global trade opportunities. MBITA also manages the TradePort.org website, a ‘click & mortar’ solution for trade promotion services. The TradePort network of public-private sector trade promotion organizations represents over 60,000 small to mid-sized enterprises located throughout California.
US Export Assistance Center of Monterey
The U.S. Commercial Service of the U.S. Department of Commerce (http://www.buyusa.gov/monterey/) is a federal government agency dedicated to helping small-to-medium sized companies with their exporting strategies. An experienced staff of International Trade Specialists located in the Monterey U.S. Export Assistance Center serve this highly diverse and multi-cultural business community.
The Monterey Export Assistance Center is part of an international network consisting of 105 U.S. Export Assistance Centers across the country and a 165 offices in 82 countries. Domestic and international offices are directly linked through a worldwide communications and information network which offers a unique and valuable service to U.S. exporters. Marina Technology Cluster
The Marina Technology Cluster (http://www.msbi.org/) is a not-for-profit business accelerator assisting early-stage companies in the marine science, agriculture technology and information technology sectors through a comprehensive series of services and programs.
A collaborative project between the City of Marina (http://www.ci.marina.ca.us/) and the University of California’s Monterey Bay Education, Science and Technology (MBEST) Center (http://www.ucmbest.org/), our goal is to facilitate commercialization of emergent regional technologies.
Located in close proximity to more than 30 technology and science, research and education institutions, the Cluster is ideally situated in the heart of the region’s unparalleled, year-round agricultural markets.
Through this project, the City of Marina and MBEST together provide a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs in the Monterey Bay region to find business assistance, start-up support, access to dynamic research and a great place to grow their business.
